"We had some lovely passes in difficult and choppy conditions with many of the teams attempting this level for the first time and other teams having never seen the lake. All teams worked hard and congratulations to those who achieved passes.

"I would like to thank the SNC for giving me the opportunity to judge Section A in Jersey. We had some very enthusiastic entrants on the second day and I'm pleased to say all passed. It was lovely to see both handlers and their dogs working in harmony and having fun, just as it should be. There are some very promising youngsters to look out for in the future and hope to see them again next year.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable day co-judging with Steve and would like to pass on my thanks to everyone at the Jersey Big Dog Club for hosting a great water test weekend and for their fabulous hospitality."

"The weather was fine and calm not like Saturday. We had 15 dogs, eight passed the others did not quite make it, the main problems were the underwater retrieve and the controlled swim.

"This level was scheduled for yesterday (Saturday) but had to be abandoned, due to the atrocious weather! Thankfully today is bright and sunny.

I would like to echo the thanks given by Chris and would just like to add we had 7 entries, with 3 very nice passes I look forward seeing them working at the higher levels. The main stumbling block for the 3 that didn't make it today was the 'controlled swim' once this is conquered the three of them should pass this level with ease.
