Test Manager - Mr. David Taylor

"A first two day draught event for Grangewaters. The weather was kind to us, although chilly.

I would like to thank SNC for allowing us to host this event and the groups sterling members who worked so hard behind the scenes to ensure this was a success. 31 dogs entered with some great passes and valiant efforts."

Judges Report - Beginners Level

"We only had three teams today at this level, one of which was a brace. The 'brace' unfortunately were not ready and need to work together more. The other two teams were excellent passes which were a pleasure to watch.

Thank you to the SNC for inviting us to judge, Grangewaters Team's hospitality and the Test Manager."

Judges Report - Level 2

"We would like to say a big thank you to the SNC for asking us to judge. We had 6 entries with 3 passes.

A little work may be needed with some teams to perfect the down command/down stay and handlers must remember to keep the leads loose when working.

It was a shame about the weather, but to be expected. Thanks you to Grangewaters for looking after us with wonderful soup and cakes."

Judges: Kevin Clarke & Clive Haylock

Judges Report - Level 4

"Grangewaters first Level 4 turned out to be a little disappointing. The rain started around 9am and continued through the test.

We had two entries who showed really good control in exercise 1, unfortunately both were easily distracted by movement outside of the ring to remain concentrated on the 'job in hand'. The dog which had managed to get through to the down stay unfortunately decide to go and look for her owner.

We would like to thank the SNC for inviting us to judge at these tests and to Grangewaters for their hospitality over the weekend."

Judges Report - Level 1

"Many thanks to the SNC and Grangewaters for hosting this event and for inviting me to judge.

11 dogs to judge, all but one passed. Generally a good standard but handlers must remember to watch the back of the cart - trust your partner, the dog often can pick the best route even at this level."
