Sunday 27th October dawned bright, dry and sunny - which was a complete contrast to the day before for this joint Draught Test event.
We had nine entries through the day and all those who attended seemed to really enjoy the occasion. I'm not sure why there was such a poor turnout for this event - but those who attended worked well as a team at all levels offered for testing using the agreed new regulations.
Thank you so much to our judges for their continued commitment and encouragement for this event and to WNAG members who turned out to help and support.

A lovely, sunny day at Bryn Bach. Nice to see both dogs enjoying themselves. Thank you to my senior judge for her assistance. A couple of nice passes.

Two novice dogs entered, who lacked confidence, however the handlers used their experience to coax the dogs to commendable passes.
The new Level 1 is challenging, but good preparation for moving on.

After a dreadful day of weather for the Newfoundland Club draught tests held at Bryn Bach park on Saturday 26th October, Sunday dawned a beautiful sunny, warm autumn day for the SNC tests!
The Level 2 tests starting just after lunch had an entry of three teams, all of which easily passed the control section, collecting very few points in the sunshine. Unfortunately, one team then went on to fail in the group stay. The manoeuvring and haul sections followed on ground rapidly drying out after the previous day's rain. Here both teams, with dogs and handlers working very well together were a joy to watch and judge, resulting in two lovely passes. Well done!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the SNC for asking us to judge, Team WNAG for another great test (despite everything the weather could throw the previous day) and to our steward. These tests could not have been achieved without you all. Here's looking forward to the next tests in the New Year.

Our thanks to the SNC for inviting Kay and myself to judge the Level 3 draught test today. Only two dogs entered under the "new" regulations with one pass.
Both dogs (as to be expected) performed well in the control section, one fell foul during the down stay.
The haul was completed to a good standard, considering we are early in the season for carting - with more practice, I am sure dogs and handlers will settle.
