A total of 34 dogs were tested at all levels at the Activity Centre in St Martin over the two test held this week. Level 4 and 3 Hauls were held in the woods at Victoria Towers then down the steep hill to Gorey, and onwards to the beach, so having several changes in surfaces and obstacles included rocks, steps and inclines.
The Level 2 Haul was held at Victoria Tower next to the Activity Centre which has wooded areas and different surfaces including tarmac.
L1 and Beginners, which were three Braces were held at the Activity Centre.
We had many passes at all levels; and lots of teams with a little more work that I've no doubt will be passing soon.
The weather was mixed with sunshine, very hot periods, cloudy skies and wind.
Thank you to all those that came to support our event, Judges, Stewards and helpers. A special thank you to Jen Lewin who came over to judge the higher levels and to Sara Davis who came over to assist with stewarding.

Three brace pairs entered in the Beginners Level today. All three passed and it was wonderful to see the dogs working with one another. Generally a very steady performance, which possibly reflected the end of the tests in Jersey for 2018.

We had three entries, all of whom passed the Control Section, but one withdrew from the Maneuvering and Haul. The remaining two passed well and look like having a good Draught future ahead of them.

Thank you SNC for inviting us to judge here in Jersey today, such a shame Storm Brian wanted to join in.
We had six entries, unfortunately two teams didn't get through the Control Section, due mostly to tight leads and not communicating with the dog. One dog didn't manage to complete the Down Stay element. Three dogs went out and completed the Haul with only one good pass.
Thanks to the Test Manager and Team Jersey for an enjoyable day. Thanks to our stewards who appear to enjoy getting wet!

We had five teams all did well in the control section, although the Back-Up was a stumbling block for a couple of teams.
There were three teams that went on to the Haul, all did very well, but again the Back-Up was not completed by one of them, which was a shame as they had done well up until then. So we ended up with two passes today.
Thank you to all the stewards who were brilliant and ended up very wet with the rain.
Thank you to the Test Manager and to those who gave us lunch. This was my first time in Jersey and was made very welcome (Jen). Dave set a good Haul and we all enjoyed it.

We had one team entered, who completed a good Control Section, with good Change of Pace and good Back-Up. The Haul was challenging, but was completed with ease.
