"The Southern Newfoundland Club held its 4th Championship show on the 23rd November. We had a wonderful entry of 92 dogs making an entry of 106 for our judge Mr. Stuart Mallard (Tuckles).

Dogs were first into the ring; the CC was awarded to Ch. Millthorpe Mr Rochester JW ShCM owned by Anne Springthorpe with Res DCC being awarded to Gunnersnewfs Austrian Love owned by Mark & Dawn Richardson.

During the break for lunch, our chairman was auctioning some beautiful newfie gifts, proceeds from which going to welfare. He was also seen handing out glasses of 'fizzy' drinks during the morning.

There were five stalls this year, lots of Christmas gifts on offer with some beautiful handcrafted items, hope you all had fun shopping.

After lunch, the bitches, the CC was awarded to Ir. Ch. King Of Helluland Keep Distance at Larkharbour owned by Kevin & Rebecca Mercer with the Res CC going to Zentaur This Is Jam Hot owned by Faye Coldwell. Our judge decided that Best in Show was his DCC winner and Reserve Best in Show going to his BCC winner.

Best Puppy in Show was awarded to Newgraden's Gold Bullion owned by Angela Moir. Best Veteran in Show was awarded to Stelamah Secret Love owned by Angela Martin.

A special thank you to our judge Stuart Mallard and to all who supported our show - visitors and exhibitors. Also a special mention and our thanks to the stewards, Aaron Humphries and Mike Brind for running the ring so efficiently ensuring judging ran smoothly, to Paul Dodd who was kept very busy throughout the day taking photos and to the SNC committee and to our Secretary who was busy uploading the class results live as they were awarded."
