This year we hosted two water tests on behalf of the Southern Newfoundland Club, Saturday's test was run by the Jersey Big Dog Club and Sunday's by the Friends of Jersey Big Dog Club. I drew the 'short straw' and managed both days!
We tested a total of 46 teams over the two tests, covering all levels. This year we were lucky with the weather as it stayed dry over both days, however we did have high winds to contend with, which made keeping the boats on the buoys difficult.
We started each day with Section E, went on to D, C, A finishing with B with some very good team work and passes. It was good to see the young dogs doing so well at their first test experience.
The JBDC is only a small club, so we really appreciate all the support we are given by those coming over to enter the tests. Judges, stewards and general help make the event a success. Thanks to Chris Roberts and Sara Davies coming over specifically to judge. Thank you Anita and Trina for arranging the judges lunches, hot drinks etc..

Today's weather was changeable. We had eight dogs to test with seven very good passes, the one that didn't make it today has generally lost all his confidence in the water and was reluctant to swim.
We had a very enjoyable day judging together. Many thanks to the Jersey Big Dog Club, the stewards, Test Manager Steve and to the SNC for inviting us to judge.

We tested three dogs at this level, such a shame there wasn't any passes but it was great to see some lovely team work. I'm sure these dogs will go on to pass this section in the future.
