What a brilliant weekend! Great atmosphere, where everyone mucked in and helped out – This test cannot be held without this level of co-operation from all who attend, as there is no working group able to run the event. Dave and I thank everyone for their help, especially Martine and Caroline for supervising the hot drinks and food, and to Bev who sorted the paperwork while I was out judging.
This event gets stronger every year, it was nice to see some new faces mixed in with the 'regulars'. We had almost 40 entries, which certainly kept the judges and stewards on their toes, not every team passed, but I think it's safe to say, everyone enjoyed their stay in Devon.
Thanks to Roger & Di Vincent, who once again allowed us free access to their property, it is a wonderful venue, and once again we received a warm welcome from them.
I am already looking forward to doing it all again next year.

Four entries today in the glorious Devon sunshine. Three passes, one not quite ready yet.
We would like to see the handlers not using their leads so much and talking to their dogs more. The dogs that passed are all ready to go on to the next level.

Karen and I judged six teams, all the teams worked well and all passed. The maneuvering section was held in the top field, then on to the haul. All teams are ready to progress onto Level 2.

Thanks to the SNC for asking us to judge at this excellent venue. We had six teams, with five good passes, I dog withdrew during the Maneuvering section. Tight leads still seem to be the worst problem for losing points, but the level of control is improving all the time.

We had five entries today and three nice passes, the two failures occurring during the down stay. Points lost today were mostly through lack of change of pace during the control and repeated commands. The haul was quite taxing, but all three teams worked well together.

Great venue, great weather if a bit chilly.
We had three entries, two did not get themselves through the control section, one just did not seem to want to know, the other did not complete the back-up. The third entrant got through the control section, did an excellent down stay, but sadly had to withdraw from the haul as she became very tired. The conditions on the haul were very taxing, being a young dog, she just ran out of stamina ... she made a very good attempt in true newfie spirit.
