Some challenging conditions today with strong winds and sleet but everyone worked very well despite the elements and distractions.

We tested nine teams which included a brace and a Travoir. The conditions were very demanding with rain, hail and sleet. All got htrough the control section, but two teams failed on the group down stay. The maneuvering seven haul sections were very trying with very wet and muddy ground.
We had six nice passes as one of the teams failed on the out-of-sight down stay during the haul.
We would like to thank the SNC for asking us to judge.

Weather was a mix of hail, snow, sleet sun and wind, we shortened the haul due to the boggy conditions.
Two teams not quite ready for the L4 control, two teams stood or sat up in the last seconds of the down stay.
The one team that went through to the haul section, completed with a very good pass after being faced with some tricky and boggy conditions.

Much nicer conditions than yesterday, which suited the entrants much better.

We would like to thank the Southern Newfoundland Club for offering us the chance to judge together in the wonderful countryside, if rather wet Devon. At least it stayed fairly dry for our tests.
We had five entries but only two passes. One of the passes was very good, almost faultless, although unfortunately some of the dogs really felt it was too wet to lay down.

Five entrants and one pass in very changeable conditions from snow to bright sunshine.
Very wet control area, all the dogs did great in part and not so in others which lead to only one team going through to the haul and was almost faultless throughout.

It's my first time at this venue and you couldn't ask for more. Thanks to Kay and Dave for inviting me, I had a great time. – Marcus
