"Bo Peep was my first judging appointment using the new regulations that wasn't cancelled, although the two day event was low on entries so became a one day event with only Beginners, Level 1 and
Level 2. Having said that, spirits were high in those who did attend and everyone was determined to have a good weekend. There were 6 entries in Beginners with four good passes.
It was lovely to pass a couple of first time teams who worked extremely well together and a special well done to the junior handler in Level 1 who handled her dog beautifully and has a great future in
draught work. On the reverse, there were entrants who have entered numerous tests in the past, been given feedback on their mistakes but still make them. Please take on board the advice given, as it is
to ensure that your dog is safe whilst hitched up and will save you from many lost points in future tests. When we see the same mistakes made over and over again it feels like we are wasting our time
as judges in giving feedback.
Overall it was a great weekend. It was interesting judging under the SNC/NNC rules for the first time and I will be giving feedback to all clubs. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to judge at this
event and a huge thank you to everyone who helped out on the tests and as usual made me feel part of the group. Congratulations to everyone who past their tests. "
