A Water Test that will live long in my memory. Having pre-prepared Running Orders and Stewarding Schedules as entries closed a week before the Test, it all changed in the days immediately before the Test.
Two regular participants both lost dogs in the days leading up to the test, but the loss of Kay's Father days before the Test immediately meant that we were faced with finding replacement judges at levels E, D, and B with days to go. Well done Graham Hill for dealing with that at short notice.
In that context we thank Ronnie Chadwick for standing in to judge at Level E, but also to Dave Viney who judged at all Levels except C across the weekend ... Dave many thanks for standing in for us.
With 22 Entries to test on the Saturday, I made the decision to run both swims, whilst on the Sunday we scaled down to just the one swim to cater for the 14 tests on the second day.
We welcomed guests from NewForest, Terranova, WNAG, Rother, and SEWN several of whom enjoyed the comfort of our Luxury Lakeside Lodges for the weekend, they were all put to good use with plenty of stewarding duties. Many thanks for all of your help.
Conditions across the weekend were good, and helms and boat crews experienced little difficulty keeping boats in position.
To our Judges, the stewards, our "strangers" - particularly Kirstie Hosie who was kept fully employed as an E stranger, our entrants, and those guests who came along to observe, thank-you for your support over the weekend, and we hope to see you all again next year.

Thank you to the Southern Newfoundland Club, Alan, Grangewaters, stewards and my fellow judge for running and hosting such a positive and& friendly test.
The weather just about held out for the dogs to have a wonderful time with their handlers. We had 10 great passes of both young and young at heart dogs! A special mention of one amazing junior handler and her visually disabled dog, who worked together beautifully. Unfortunately, we did have one fail, but with some work with the boat, they should pass in no time.

The weather was fine, not too hot, we had five dogs, sadly no passes, but five good attempts, well done to all the entrants.

The weather was lovely for the water tests today, but with a strong breeze!
There were eight dogs entered, with six passes in this level. One team withdrew and the other was relatively new to waterwork, so with a bit more practice will achieve their pass.

Of the six teams entered we only had one pass and what an excellent pass it was! Handler showed great distance control. Two others came very close with only minor faults, which unfortunately cost them on this occasion. We fully expect these to pass on another attempt.
The weather was kind with plenty of sunshine & the tests as ever were well organised - Well done the Grangewaters team.
It is still early in the water season, so we wish all the teams good luck and success in the forthcoming months.
