On behalf of Dave and myself, I would like to thank everyone who made this test weekend a success. Special thanks to Roger & Di who yet again welcomed us with open arms giving us free access to all of their land. A huge thanks go to Martine and Lynn who stepped in at the last minute to take over the catering, the food was delicious.
Can't say I remember much about he weather this year, which must mean either I was kept busy or it was a good test!
Looking through the results, I can again see lots of passes, some new dogs and new handlers, unfortunately, some teams didn't quite make the grade, but looking at the judges reports I'm sure all will get there soon keep practicing and most of all enjoy working with you dog.
We had a great weekend - see you all next year.

All the dogs and handlers worked very well together. Some new handlers and some young dogs, but all teams did a great job and all were well-deserved passes.

We had 11 teams entered, all did well the only stumbling block was the slow section, more work needed on this, but when asked to do it at the end, all did it! There were a lot of marks lost for the dog not being alongside of the handler.
The venue is excellent making the haul interesting.

With the rain holding off we started the test with our one entrant and handler. They showed complete control during the first section, only dropping points for a couple of 'not alongside'.
On the haul they showed again what a really nice team they were, passing after quite a grueling course, through mud and rivers in the forest.
We would like to thank each other and the SNC for inviting us and putting on the test.
Well done to the team that entered a very well deserved pass.

It was a pleasure to be invited to do my first judging appointment under the supervision of the experienced Jen Lewin.
There were entrants of generally good standards but unfortunately there was 1 fail, although the handler was a novice.
It was delightful to see a brace entered and pass. Unfortunately the weather could have been more clement
I hope my effort was sufficient to be asked again in future & Jen’s influence will stick with me.

We had 10 entries today, two teams withdrew during the control section and two weren't quite up to it today.
Six nice passes, but handlers need to remember to have nice loose leads, as most points were lost for tight leads.

The control section was held on the front meadow. We judged nine teams with five going forward to the haul – all passed.
We were pleased that the standard of control was high with some teams being exemplary. 'Back ups' were satisfactory, but would need to improve before they go forward to Level 4.
The haul was challenging with conditions under foot difficult due to overnight rain. As the haul progressed the handlers worked as a team to help each other over/through difficult obstacles. We hope that the four that did not achieve the standard will be successful next time.
