We tested a total of 48 teams on the Saturday and Sunday, covering all Sections. The weather forecast for the Saturday tests was good until mid-afternoon, we pushed on with the tests and had to abandon at about 4pm due to high winds and it was felt un-safe to continue. All the E tests and the majority of the C and A tests were carried out with some very good team work and passes.
The Sunday saw high winds again and we didn't start the tests until 11.30 when the wind decreased, the rest of the C and A were carried out first and then straight on to D, B and A, which we managed to finish by late afternoon, again with some lovely team work and passes.
The JBDC is only a small club so we really appreciate all the support we are given by those coming over to enter the tests, judge, steward and generally help make the event a success. Thanks to Chris Roberts coming over specifically to judge, to Amanda and Carol for organizing all the paperwork; Anita and Trina for arranging the judges lunches, hot drinks etc..

We had 11 entries on the day, but sadly we had to abandon the test half way through due to poor weather conditions. We resumed the test the next day in strong winds, but all the dogs performed admirably.
We are now looking forward to this event next year.

Jersey weather held up for us today ... just! We had five entries today, sadly no passes. All dogs worked well and there seemed to be no particular sticking point today.

Rather windy conditions today at the lake meant a slightly delayed start. Fortunately the weather conditions began to improve earlier than anticipated.
Four dogs entered Section A today and we had the pleasure of judging four perfect passes. A huge well done to each of the entrants ? a pleasure to watch.

The start of the tests were delayed due to very windy conditions and rough water ? the test area was changed to a more sheltered part of the lake once the conditions calmed we tested 11 dogs at Section B.
We had six very nice passes with some very good team work, one of the passes was carried out silently with only hand signals which gave an absolute pleasure to watch the team working.
We had five that failed the test but with a little more work on the elements that they failed on I'm sure they will be passing Section B next season.
Jane and I would like to thank the SNC for inviting us to judge and thanks to all the stewards and helpers for assisting to make sure the test ran smoothly.

A big thank you to the SNC for my first Section D appointment, and to my fellow judge Clive Haylock who made the transition a lot easier because of his high standards and advice.
We judged eight dogs with three passes, which I was informed is a good pass rate for Section D. Considering the windy conditions the stewards and generally people, did a great job keeping everything running smoothly.
So a good day had by all and hopefully look forward to being asked to judge again and meeting more Jersey people.
